RSN™ Rivet nuts with cap for high torques, light and space-efficient
Application area
- The RSN™ cap nut is an addition to the RSN™ standard.
- Available in thread sizes from M5 to M14 can be universally used for component thicknesses from 0.8 to 2.0 mm and tensile strengths of up to 800 MPa
- Also suitable for the accommodation of lateral forces
- Resistance to corrosion in accordance with the customer’s requirements
- No component material thinning during riveting process
- No adverse effects on the joint or function of the thread; no damage due to weld spatters
- Pure mechanical attachment
- Suitable for use with surface-treated, galvanized or painted components
- Water-tight and gas-tight in reference to the requirements demanded by the automotive sector, no extra-sealing or O-ring required
- High resistance to twist and ejection forces, even for thin sheet metals
- The cap protects against penetration of various substances, dust, paint, KTL
