Application Area
- The RND™ cap nut is a supplement to the RND™ standard rivet nut
- Rivet nut universally applicable for component thicknesses from 0.6 mm to 3.5 mm and a tensile strength of up to 1500 MPa
- Can be joined in non-ferrous metals (e.g. aluminum) and fiber-reinforced plastics (GFRP, CFRP)
- Suitable for a wide range of high static, impact and cyclic load cases
- Can be used to transfer shear forces in highly stressed structures
- Suitable for high loads in the axial direction of the joint
- Ideal for surface-treated, galvanized or painted components
